Jackal re-introduced to the reserve!

Life is never dull here!
Rhino Revolution was asked to assist with 7 young black-backed jackal (5 female and 2 male) that had been confiscated from various sources and circumstances. The jackals will be released back into the wild on a nearby reserve.
Before the release, they will be vaccinated for rabies and monitored closely in a boma for a few weeks to make sure they are fit and healthy.
The area lost a huge percentage of its jackal population due to a rabies outbreak a few years ago, and so we are re-introducing these vaccinated youngsters in a bid to re-balance the ecosystem.
