Rhino Revolution was founded in 2011 by the concerned citizens of Hoedspruit who, together with respected conservationists and private reserve owners, try to reduce the escalating poaching crisis in this critically important conservation area.

Our focus is South Africa, home to the largest rhino population in the world. We are proud to work with ethical NGOs, skilled wildlife professionals, global volunteers and a wide range of stakeholders to deliver maximum impact.

While Rhino Revolution directly oversees some activities, other work is undertaken by partner organisations that we fund and coach, to ensure that donor funds are spent as wisely as possible.

We have a proven track record of successfully rescuing, rehabilitating and re-wilding orphaned calves, who are now safely breeding in the wild. Despite this huge conservation success story, with rhino numbers continuing to plummet, we now need to focus on important, new, initiatives.

By design, Rhino Revolution is run by a small team of paid staff and relies heavily on committed volunteers. Our unpaid trustees bring a wealth of experience to help guide and govern. This means a large percentage of donations go directly to the front line of rhino conservation, ensuring our work is impactful.

The Area
