Are you looking for a life-altering and meaningful experience that can make a real difference in conservation?
Look no further than our Rhino Horn Trimming Experience! Get up close and personal with a rhino while assisting in the conservation of this majestic and endangered species, which is under constant threat from poachers.
Horn trimming is an expensive and challenging process that requires specialized equipment and skilled personnel, nevertheless it has proven to be an effective measure in saving these incredible creatures from poaching.
That's where we, and you as a donor, come in! Our organization is dedicated to supporting reserves and private rhino owners, but we cannot do it alone.
We are inviting individuals or groups of up to eight guests (sharing one vehicle) to participate in an extraordinary experience while also playing an active role in the day's activities. A skilled veterinary team and helicopter/fixed-wing pilots will fly in search of the rhinos, and guests will follow in pursuit in an open 4x4 safari vehicle, joined by our highly trained ground crew.
Once the rhino is located and darted, the helicopter will land, and guests will not only have the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to be part of this experience, but they will also be able to touch the immobilized rhino. The Horn Trimming Experience primarily will take place in Limpopo, in the Greater Kruger area, with the base being the town of Hoedspruit.
Costs
This thrilling experience is offered at a cost of R 10,000 per person.
Guests need to be 12 years and older to participate.
For an additional cost and subject to availability, hop in the helicopter with the wildlife vet and experience what it takes to track and dart a rhino.

Accommodation in Hoedspruit with a variety of lodges to choose from
(A minimum stay of two nights is required to guarantee favourable conditions for
darting.)
Transport to and from the venue where the Horn Trimming Experience will take place.
